Jupiter Rugby was founded in 2005 by Mr. Sean Simon. The program was then inducted into the Jupiter-Tequesta Athletic Association in 2008. Meanwhile, a separate and independent Informational Rugby Club formed at Jupiter High School. This club has served to help educate students and the public about JTAA Rugby and on how to get involved as supporters or participants. JTAA Rugby currently carries over 100 high school boys and girls. Each gender fields a Varsity and a JV team. These teams travel throughout the state to compete in their respective divisions. The Boy's Varsity Team won the Division One High School State Championsip in 2010 after an undefeated 12-0 season. |
